Greetings!
On behalf of the Nu Beta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, I am pleased to welcome you to our official chapter website as the 2023-2024 chapter president. We are thrilled that you have taken the time to visit our site and learn more about our illustrious sorority and NEVERending sisterhood.
On January 15, 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was founded at Howard University in Washington, DC by our 16 founders who left a legacy that we continue today. On the principles of sisterhood, scholarship, and “Service to All Mankind”, we unselfishly serve our communities upholding and encouraging the traditions and ideals that serve as a foundation set by our founders over 116 years ago. To ensure the sorority’s perpetuity, our sisterhood was incorporated on January 29, 1913, by our founders and four trailblazing women who together make up our 20 Pearls. Since then, the sorority has spread worldwide with over 355,000 members and 1,064 chapters.
Since April 14, 1979, the “NEVERending” Nu Beta Chapter has served the Georgia Institute of Technology community and metro Atlanta area devoted to the purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Under the sorority's five key initiatives, we strive to enrich the college experience and positively impact our communities through programs such as Hunger Games, Money Mondays, Phirst in Class, and Helping Women Period. For nearly 45 years, we have instrumented growth and change in our community setting the standard set forth by our 27 charter members, excelling in scholarship and strengthening relationships between college-educated women.
